ABOUT

The city of Foz do Iguaçu is a beautiful city located in the state of Paraná and hosts one of the world’s seven wonders, the Iguazu Falls, from where the name of the city came.

The city of Foz do Iguaçu borders two other countries (Paraguay and Argentina) and, due to its natural beauty, is a very tourist city; a curious fact is that Foz do Iguaçu is a city with less than 300,000 inhabitants and live about 80 ethnic groups among them the largest are Paraguay, Lebanon, and China.

But despite its natural beauty, the city has its dark side with the drug trade, prostitution, and many homeless

The ACDD – Christian Association for the Handicapped

ACDD was founded on July 31, 1984, in Iguassu Falls, Brazil. The ACDD is a non-profit organization that maintains the Cristian Eduardo Hack Cardozo School, a special needs school specializing in the care and education of physically and mentally disabled children.

Shelter "Lar Esperança"

 

The Shelter for Homeless has served people in need in Iguassu Falls, Brazil, for 35 years. It aims to provide accommodation, meals, primary care, and other opportunities to the city’s homeless population.
