The Homeless Shelter has been serving the needy in Iguassu Falls, Brazil for 35 years. Its aim is to provide accommodation, meals, primary care and other opportunities to the city’s homeless population.
AMID World Mission, Inc is the global headquarters of the mission located in the city of Atlanta, USA. The global HQ is responsible for overseeing and managing the well being of AMID’s missionaries working in the field. The Petalouda Educational Center is a project integrated by our missionary Molly Rocha that seeks to provide educational opportunities for Roma children in the outskirts of Athens, Greece. Roma children in Greece are highly marginalized and often forced to live a life full of addiction, unemployment and crime. The ACDD – Christian Association for the Handicapped was founded in the 31 of July, 1984 in the city of Iguassu Falls, in Brazil. The ACDD is a non-profit organization that maintains the Cristian Eduardo Hack Cardozo School, a special needs school specializing in the care and education of physically and mentally handicapped children.
SEAMID is the Theological Seminary of AMID. It was founded along with AMID in 1981 as “Mission and Discipleship School” in Guarapuava, Brazil by Pastor João Carlos Nunes Rocha. In 1987, the Mission and Discipleship School moved to the city of Iguassu Falls in Brazil and was renamed AMID (Missionary Association Integration and Discipleship). The school came to be called SEAMID (Theological Seminary AMID), where it began to offer students with in Bachelor of Theology. Today, SEAMID is located in Cascavel, in the state of Paraná, serving the local church and training leaders with a bachelor, master and doctoral degrees.
AMID is active in Greece through Andre and Molly Rocha who serve in the pastoral team at Glyfada Christian Center. Local churches in Greece have been hugely affected since the economic crisis began in 2010. Your gift ensures they stay in active service in this local body.
